It’s not easy being a wallflower.
It’s not easy being Misbah.
It’s not easy being Badri.
It’s not easy waiting when the wait is over.
But it’s still not over.
And it goes on and on and on and on
Over and over and over and over again
And again
Badri has waited. God knows he has.
Everybody knows.
And those that don’t are blind.
Badri: Your time has come.
Seize it with both hands, boy.
Just like that catch today.

NC.. I know its very early to say but Badri looks better equipped to handle spinners than the current Indian ODI players. Guess he is here to stay for some time.
Trideep: Touché
The wallflowers are shapely.:)
he is India's second best player on paper by his records... he ought to b e given a run of 30-40 matches irrespective of his failures that may supposedly come. If rohit can play 25odd matches now and still langers about the 25 mark average, god only would understand why this guy badri is not our first choice.
very touchy yet cracking...
if not for his effort with bat i would include him for next few only for his catch that changed the match for me...
send all those who came your way to 'badrinath' badri...
sooraj (read selectors) kab tak rok payengay...badri aati hee hai chchaane jaane ke liye mere dost...
wah! wah!
Bravo! (Applause)
Gaurav you are an amazing chap. When the time comes around, I'll ask you for one on Mishra....maybe we could have an inspiring, goosepimpling poem or lyrics right away!
Awesome poem, Gaurav. :) You should publish these in print!
And I'm almost a Badri fan already. Loved those backfoot shots. Send Rohit, Kohli and Raina back to Ranji and pick India's #2, 3 and 4. Then, I'll say we have an ODI team.
Cheers Ott!
Scorpi - Yeah, Rohit's had an awful run. worse, he doesn't look like scoring. which means he will on sunday. and be hailed yet again as the next srt. is it a mumbai thing?
SP - that catch gave me a real rush. last i recall jadeja taking one of those scrapers in another liftetime in oz, and it sure made his life.
Alaap, alaap!
Cheers SB! And thanks a ton. wonder if there'll be one in this series?
For Misraji we'll need a qawaali.
VM -thanks a bunch!
Watched Badri's innings on mute (seemed apt, as he would've shut a lotta guys) - saw the old calm of a sachin, dravid, vvs in his defence. hope they were watching too, never to late to find yrself, again.
cricket and poetry doesn't go together....reality check...friend...
Quawwali or a morning raaga to kick of the day? :)
You saw what lies behind the soundbytes and it appears to be of reassuring quality.
utp - anything goes. even an open and a closed mind. Till they both close, till they both open.
aside: KP bowled five overs in his 1st odi as skipper, can't recall vaughan bowling that many in five years.
sb - same team or 2 spinners tomorrow, watsay?
