Hey Sachin

Sachin, here you are a captain again. And today, you showed flexibility too, you didn’t open the innings, or was it on the behest of some coach again. Either way, thought it was a good call. Is this a pointer for the ODIs, can you let go there too?

Now, there was this little big moment in the game, before you came on to bowl the match turning over – you were huddled with the kids, Duminy and Bhajji. And you looked like a kid too, in fact, it appeared, it was on their behest that you bowled. And it rankled didn’t it, how many times did you mention that in the interviews?

It’s funny, but I’m now convinced, that among million Indians, I too share some karmic connection with you. Could almost tell you weren’t too keen to bowl, were you? But everything pointed to a spinner bowling – that’s what threatened to swing the game. And if little boy Duminy can have Delhi like a cat on a hot tin roof, Sachin, you, Mr Big spinner, you will make a hot dog outta them Daredevils.

But it didn’t quite feel right. It wasn’t like one of those games where you snatch the ball from skip. It was one of those dreaded games that you don’t get landing rights. You knew it, and so AB de Villiers. And so did I.

Why did he bowl, when other bowlers has their overs left to bowl

more than his bowling i was surprised how can he let them decide for himself at such a crucial juncture...or may be they were the bowling captains...?

Hi Vicky, friendship with bhajji proving quite costly. At BCC!, this was written pre-match:

Prafs, leaving Bravo outta the equation was warped. Leave aside his change in pace, yorkers, bouncers, that excellent first over, how can you discount a guy who's played some tight situations in international cricket - guess it was his gut gone bad. Very bad game for SRT.

namya, maybe if he feigned injury and walked off the park would have been better. now he's just bitter.

SP, if you rewind, duminy was very clear abt his field when he was bowling - told sachin in so many words. clearly, duminy's a big deal in the MI team; boy, and then they have Pollock n Rhodes, quite sure Cronje looking over them too.

He shudn't have bowled.. but on any other day I wud not put my money on Sachin bowling a couple of short ones.. i think it was his first over in the IPL - right or wrong?

sure looked like his first over. All year if you ask me.

shastri recently said something abt sachin having to take it easy and bowl unless the team really needs him.

Ohh comeon it was quite sensible at that time when an ass bowler like Raina can win the match why not Sachin but I think apart from the ove it was the shitty way he got out which really cost the match. He is again looking like he is under great pressure due general incompetence all around and we all know what happens when he is under such pressure
